  2. Each player is dealt four cards face down (”pocket cards”). These cards can only be seen by the player that receives them.
  3. The first round of betting starts with the player to the left of the big blind.
  4. Three community cards (”the flop”) are placed face up in the centre of the table. These cards can be used by all players, together with two of the pocket cards, to combine a hand.
  5. The second round of betting starts with the player to the left of the dealer.

  7. The third round of betting starts with the player to the left of the dealer.
  8. A fifth and last community card (“the river”) is placed in the centre of the table.
  9. The last round of betting starts with the player to the left of the dealer.
  10. Showdown – The player with the best hand wins the pot. Each player has to combine two of their pocket cards with three of the community cards to create the best five card hand. If two or more players have the best hand they will split the pot.
3. Omaha Hi/Lo
In Omaha Hi/Lo the pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand – provided there is a qualifying low hand. To qualify as a low hand, no card in the combined five card hand can be over 8 or be a pair. Ace can be used in both the low and high hand. If more than one low hand qualifies, the hand with the lowest high card wins. This means that the hand 7-5-4-2-A beats 8-4-3-2-A. If the high cards are the same, the next highest card is compared. It is possible for the same player to win both the high and the low hands. The low hand can be a flush or a straight. The best possible low hand is 5-4-3-2-A. If there are no qualifying low hands, the high hand wins the whole pot.
4. 7 Card Stud & 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo
Players
Up to 8 players are allowed to play at one table.

Betting structure
7 Card Stud is played with an ante. An ante is a forced bet paid by all players before the initial cards are dealt. The only betting structure available for 7 Card Stud is Limit.

The play
  1. The ante is paid by all players. The ante is usually 1/10 of the small bet, for example $1 in a $10-$20 game.
  2. Each player is dealt three cards. Two cards face down and one card faced up.
  3. The first round of betting starts with the player that has the lowest visible card. The player can choose to place a full or half bet. For the first round, a full bet is the lower amount of the structure, for example $5 in $5-$10 game.
  4. Once the first round of betting has completed, each player is dealt a fourth card face up.
  5. The second round of betting starts with the player that has the best visible hand. If two players have the same best hand, the suit will decide who starts the betting. The starting player has the option to check or bet the small bet; $5 in $5-$10 game. If a player has an open pair he has the option to place the higher bet in the structure; $10 in a $5-$10 game. The action then moves clockwise around the table, each player in turn having the option to check (if no bet was made by the player acting first), call, raise or fold.
  6. Once the second round of betting has completed, each player is dealt a fifth card face up.
  7. The third round of betting starts with the player that has the best visible hand. From the third round onwards the player wishing to bet must bet the higher bet; $10 in a $5-$10 game.
  8. Once the third round of betting has completed, each player is dealt a sixth card face up.
  9. The fourth round of betting starts with the player that has the best visible hand.
  10. Once the fourth round of betting has completed, each player is dealt their seventh and last card face down. If all 8 players are still in the game when the seventh card is dealt, the card is dealt face up in the center of the table as a community card. This is because the cards in the deck would run out if each player is dealt a seventh card.
  11. The fifth and last round of betting starts with the player that has the best visible hand.
  12. Showdown – The player with the best hand wins the pot. The hand is combined using five of the seven cards dealt to the player. If two or more players have the best hand they will split the pot.

14. General Rules
Available Betting Structures

Limit
In structured limit games, all bets/raises are a set amount. The only valid bet/raise is the current limit, for example $10 (big blind) on the first two rounds and $20 (double the big blind) in the last two rounds in a $5-$10 Hold'em game.

No-Limit
In no-limit the minimum bet/raise is the same size as the big blind but players can always bet as much as they want, up to all their chips. There is no maximum number of raises.

Pot-Limit
In pot-limit the minimum bet must be the size of the big blind but can be up to the pot; the minimum raise having to match the previous bet or raise made. A pot size bet/raise is calculated by adding up the pot plus all bets on the table plus the amount the player wishing to raise would first have to call before raising.
15. The Betting Round
Check
If no player has placed a bet or if the player is on an un-raised big blind, the player has the alternative to check. That means declining to bet, but retaining the option to remain in the hand if someone else bets, or even to call or raise if someone else bets. A player can not “check” if someone else has placed a bet. If another player bets after a check, the checking player is forced to either call, raise or fold.

Fold
A player always has the option to fold. When a player folds his hand he is no longer in the game until the next hand.

Call
A player has the option to call when another player has placed a bet. When the player calls, he puts in the same amount as the bet in the pot and the betting round is ended unless another player raises.

Bet
If no one else has placed a bet, the player can bet himself. A bet will force the other players to either call, raise or fold. The amount of the bet depends on the betting structure.

Raise
The player has the option to raise another player’s bet. The player then raises to an amount higher than the bet, which forces the other players to either call, re-raise or fold.
